RunStar Launches Wireless Upper-Arm Blood Pressure Monitor to Streamline Home Tracking
Consumer health technology manufacturer RunStar has announced the introduction of its latest home health tracking device, the LoopGo Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor (BP-202). Designed to expand the company’s domestic medical monitoring portfolio, the new apparatus introduces a tube-free upper-arm configuration aimed at simplifying routine physiological assessments for users.
Streamlined Design Eliminates External Tubing
Traditional blood pressure monitors often rely on separate monitoring boxes connected to inflatable cuffs via flexible plastic tubing. The LoopGo device departs from this conventional layout by integrating the monitoring hardware directly into an adjustable arm cuff. According to the manufacturer, removing external tubes and cabling is intended to facilitate portable handling and simplify single-handed fitting during self-application.
The device records systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as pulse rate, delivering completed readings in under 60 seconds. Measurement results are displayed on a built-in thin-film transistor (TFT) colour screen equipped with a flip-and-rotate mechanism, allowing individuals to adjust the viewing angle for improved visibility. In addition to visual readouts, the system incorporates visual warnings to alert users of atypical measurements or incorrect cuff positioning. It also provides spoken results in five different languages: English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
Digital Connectivity and Data Storage Capabilities
To support ongoing tracking, the hardware utilizes Bluetooth technology to synchronise recorded values with the RunStar mobile application. Internally, the monitor can store up to 99 measurements per user profile directly on the device before requiring synchronisation or deletion.
Founder Frank Li noted that traditional monitoring equipment has not always prioritized everyday convenience, prompting the design choices behind the new hardware. By combining the cuff and monitor into a single unit with an adjustable display, the company aims to encourage more consistent personal health tracking.
Power and Portability Features
For power, the portable assembly relies on an internal cell that is charged via a USB-C port. Under standard operating conditions, a full battery charge yields approximately 200 individual readings. RunStar produces a range of consumer health hardware, including smart scales and blood pressure monitors, designed to supply individuals with biometric data for personal health management.
