St. Luke’s Health System Implements AI-Assisted Virtual Care Platform Across Idaho Facilities

St. Luke’s Health System has announced an enterprise agreement with technology provider hellocare.ai to deploy artificial intelligence-assisted virtual care programmes across its hospitals and inpatient facilities located in southern Idaho. The new deployment aims to support clinical staff, streamline hospital workflows, and enhance patient safety measures throughout the healthcare network.

Expanding Virtual Care Infrastructure

The newly integrated platform encompasses two primary system components: AI-assisted Virtual Nursing and Telehealth, alongside AI-assisted Virtual Sitting. According to the health system, the software combines remote patient monitoring, automated workflows, and clinical communication tools into a single infrastructure designed to scale across multi-hospital networks. These tools will facilitate patient observation, coordinate care delivery, and enable virtual medical consultations.

Reid Stephan, senior vice-president and chief information officer at St. Luke’s Health System, noted that virtual care tools and artificial intelligence applications are becoming fundamental to contemporary healthcare delivery. Stephan stated that incorporating these technologies aligns with the organisation’s objective to assist caregivers, bolster patient safety, and maintain high standards of care across the clinical network.

Addressing Operational Demands

Healthcare providers across the United States continue to navigate complex challenges, including workforce shortages and rising operational requirements within inpatient wards. By introducing digital observation and remote communication software, St. Luke’s intends to alleviate some of these burdens on medical personnel while maintaining continuous oversight of patient care environments.

Labinot Bytyqi, founder and chief executive officer of hellocare.ai, acknowledged the collaboration, stating that the health system is demonstrating leadership in patient-centred innovation. Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, hellocare.ai supplies software solutions to more than 100 healthcare systems across the United States and is actively pursuing international expansion.

Key Features of the Platform

The newly deployed software suite includes several distinct modules aimed at improving inpatient operations. Key aspects of the technology include:

  • AI-assisted virtual nursing support
  • Automated clinical workflows and remote monitoring
  • Digital observation and virtual patient sitting

As health systems increasingly adopt digital health solutions, implementations such as this enterprise agreement highlight the growing reliance on software infrastructure to manage inpatient care capacity and support clinical teams in demanding hospital environments.
